How do I care for my new colony?
We will include a detailed care sheet with each purchase but here are "The Basics";
- Transfer to a larger, deeper, clear-sided plastic tub container. We do not cover ours, but if you choose to cover your colony, provide lots of ventilation on top.
- Layer egg crates vertically. This gives the roaches ample space to climb and hide.
- Feed a combination of roach chow and veggies/fruits.
- Provide a hydration source, such as water crystals. (Veggies and fruits also work for this!)
- Place your colony in a warm area. They thrive at 85-90 degrees.
Dubia are not legal in Florida, Alaska and Hawaii and cannot be sold to these areas.
