SILKWORM SHIPPING POLICY
Shipping Days
We ship orders on Monday and Tuesday mornings to help ensure delivery before the weekend, avoiding delays due to Sunday holds.

Orders placed Monday will ship the same day or early Tuesday (before 8:30 AM).

Orders placed Tuesday through Sunday will ship the following Monday.
Shipping Methods
USPS Priority Mail (Standard Shipping)

Our standard service is USPS Priority Mail, which may take longer than 2-3 days as advertised.

Shipping times are not guaranteed by USPS or FramsChams.

Delays may happen, and we cannot control shipping speed.
USPS Priority Mail Express

For faster shipping, you may choose Priority Mail Express at checkout.

This service offers overnight to 2-day delivery by 6 PM.
UPS 2nd Day Air or 3-Day Shipping

UPS often delivers faster and are typically more reliable than USPS.

These shipments are sent directly to your home address.
Any OVERNIGHT or NEXT DAY shipping method chosen comes with our LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE - see below

A tracking number will be automatically emailed to you on your shipping day (Monday or Tuesday).

Didn’t receive a tracking number?

Check your spam or junk folder, then email us if needed. We’re happy to provide it.

Important: Be Home for Delivery
Someone should always be home to bring your LIVE silkworms inside immediately upon arrival.

Boxes left in mailboxes, on porches, or in the sun can overheat or get too cold — this can kill silkworms.

For this reason, we ONLY guarantee live arrival when the package is held at the post office for pickup.

LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE
We only guarantee live arrival of silkworms if the package is shipped “Hold for Pickup” at your local post office OR by using EXPRESS,OVERNIGHT or NEXT DAY services.
Home delivery by any other method is not covered by this guarantee.
✅ To qualify for the guarantee:

You must check the “Hold for Pickup” box at checkout.

If there is no box, you must email us right away with the "HOLD" request.
- OR you must choose an EXPRESS,OVERNIGHT or NEXT DAY shipping service.
📦 If you do not check the box or email us, your order will ship to your home address and will not be guaranteed.
To Report DOA (Dead on Arrival):
If your shipment qualifies for the Live Arrival Guarantee and your silkworms arrive dead:
1. Email us within;
- 6 hours of USPS "HOLD" delivery to the post office or

1 hour when using EXPRESS/OVERNIGHT or NEXT DAY services to your home.
- – Include the full name on your order.
– Attach a photo or video of the worms.
2. USPS tracking determines the time of delivery.
3. If approved, we will send a replacement order on our next shipping day.
Claims made after 6 hours for HOLDS or 1 hour for EXPRESS options will not be honored.
⚠️ The Post Office will NOT call you when your package arrives. Please track it closely.
When the Live Arrival Guarantee is NOT in Effect:
🚫 Temperature Extremes = Ship at Your Own Risk
Silkworms are hardy, but extreme temperatures void the guarantee — even with "Hold for Pickup."
Customer Responsibility:
Know the temperatures along the shipping route from Massachusetts to your area.
❄️ Cold Weather (Daytime below 40°F):

We recommend ordering a heat pack and/or a Ship-Safe Phase Pack.

Both extend warmth; phase packs help regulate temperature.

- Each pack adds 1 lb. to shipping weight.
🔥 Hot Weather (Daytime above 90°F):

We recommend a Ship-Safe Phase Pack.

We do not offer ice packs due to humidity risks in insulated boxes.

Even with packs, shipments in extreme temperatures are considered "Ship at Your Own Risk."

Subscription Customers
You have full access to manage your subscription through the customer portal.
You can:

Add heat or phase packs to your order

Skip shipments during extreme temperatures

Request Hold for Pickup at your local post office
