LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE
We guarantee live arrival only on silkworm orders shipped via UPS or FedEx Overnight.
Other shipping methods are not covered by our Live Arrival Guarantee. However, if your silkworms arrive DOA, please contact us. We will review the situation and work with you to find an appropriate resolution.
π‘οΈ To Qualify for the Live Arrival Guarantee
Your order must be shipped using UPS or FedEx Overnight.
DOA claims must be reported within 6 hours of delivery and must include photos of the deceased silkworms.
π¦ To Report a DOA
If your qualifying Overnight shipment arrives with dead silkworms:

Contact us within 6 hours of delivery.

Include the full name on the order.

Include clear photos of the silkworms and packaging.

We will review the claim and, if approved, provide an appropriate resolution.
Claims submitted more than 6 hours after delivery will not be covered by the Live Arrival Guarantee.
π‘οΈ Temperature Restrictions
Silkworms are sensitive to extreme temperatures. The Live Arrival Guarantee is not in effect when temperatures are below 40Β°F or above 85Β°F unless Overnight shipping is selected.
We strongly recommend checking the weather along your shipping route before placing an order.

For additional protection during cold weather, we recommend adding:

A Ship-Safe Phase Pack may provide additional protection during warmer weather.
We do not recommend ice packs because excess moisture and humidity can be harmful to silkworms during shipping.
Please note: Shipping live insects during extreme temperatures carries additional risk. We reserve the right to delay a shipment when weather conditions could jeopardize the health of the silkworms.
π¦ FedEx Hold for Pickup
FedEx Hold for Pickup may be available and can be a helpful option for protecting your shipment from extreme outdoor temperatures.
Hold for Pickup does not by itself provide Live Arrival Guarantee coverage unless the shipment is sent using a qualifying FedEx Overnight service.
If using FedEx Hold for Pickup, you must enter the FedEx pickup location as your shipping address at checkout.
